dash Little Smokey Corn Dogs

Grab and go surimi sticks are dipped in light buttermilk cornmeal batter and served with spicy mustard.

  • 4 SEALEGS Ultimate Sushi Legs
  • 1 ½ Cup All-purpose flour, divided
  • 1 ½ Cups Cornmeal
  • 1 ½ tsp. Baking powder
  • 1 tsp. Sugar
  • ½ tsp. Baking soda
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 ¼ Cup Buttermilk
  • 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • Wooden skewers
  • Oil for frying


  1. For batter, in a large bowl whisk together ½ cup of the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar and baking soda.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, buttermilk and vegetable oil. Add to the cornmeal mixture and whisk to combine.
  3. Preheat oil to 350° Fahrenheit.
  4. Cut the SEALEGS Ultimate Sushi Legs sticks in half and skewer each piece. Coat the sticks in the remaining cup of flour, then into the cornmeal batter.
  5. Place the sausages directly into the oil from the batter and fry for 3 minutes or until golden brown.
